I'm such a Bond geek - I think I've mentioned that before - and while I have absolutely no problem with Daniel Craig, there's just no replacement for the older James Bond.
For today's post, I have one of the latest releases from OPI in their Liquid Sand Collection, the mysterious Solitaire.
Be warned, this post has LOADS of pictures!
Solitaire is a simple but stunning, diamond-solitaire-white Liquid Sand polish with micro and small silver glitters. It's not a bright white, but rather more soft, rather like the soft nightie Solitaire was wearing when Kananga sent her to be killed in the poppy fields of San Monique.

Solitaire's formula is yet another a fabulous textured polish from OPI's Liquid Sand's collections. This is two coats, to make it fully opaque. One thick one could do it, but we all know how greedy I am when it comes to good polish coverage, so two it is with no application issues. Dry time was great, and cleanup was easy. I'm also really pleased with how long these polishes last, considering they don't use a top coat.
I decided to use Solitaire as a base for my Memorial Day mani, and paired it with The Impossible and Get Your Number from the Mariah Carey Collection. These colors went perfectly with Solitaire and I was really happy with how well it turned out. Simple, but I love the combination. I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that so far, I really like OPI's textured polish above some of the others - the JulieG Gumdrops being a close second to OPI. There's just enough texture for me to satisfy my fingers running over it, but not too much that I'm worrying about if the polish will start flaking off.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Many many thanks to all our service men and women who have sacrificed so much for our freedoms!
