Well, am I on a roll blogging this week! I really am trying to be more consistent with my posts, but then I say that every time, don't I? LOL
Today we have another review of Mentality Nail Polish, this time from their Brilliant Collection. I loved the Metallic Collection, but I am head over heels for the Brilliant Collection. I really love how wonderfully named this collection is, each polish lives up to it's name perfectly.
First up is Elation - hands down my favorite polish in collection, but then you all know what a blue girl I am. :-) Elation is 'the quality or state of being elated' according to Websters, and boy does it do just that for me!
I would interpret this color as a perfect storm cloud gray blue holo. I love love love this color! (can you tell I like it ;-))
It dries quickly, and has a bit of a rough texture (think super fine grit nail file) with a satin finish, which only adds to the fabulous holo effect. The formula is wonderful to work with, this is three regular coats, with a top coat on the first and ring finger.
The first two photos are in my light box, the third one with the stamping (my rain and clouds mani) are outside, with a mostly cloudy sky behind me. It's November in Seattle, a fitting manicure for the month ;-)
Next up is Euphoria, aptly named, as you'll be swimming in a golden sea of holo bliss, with gold and red flecks to keep you company. Websters dictionary defines euphoria as a 'feeling of well-being or elation', and with this polish on your nails, you're well on your way to achieving that sensation.
This is three regular coats, (the whole Brilliant Collection has the same textured finish as Elation) with a top coat on the first and ring finger.
The third polish in the Brilliant Collection is Fervor - an 'intensity of feeling or expression.' While this polish possesses light lavender and may not be an intense color, it wasn't difficult to experience an intense feeling of happiness that comes from this creation. The holo's in it are perfect, sparking off red and gold flecks.
Perfect application, no bubbles. This is three regular coats with a top coat on my first and ring finger.
Last but certainly not least, is Rapture. One of Webster's definitions of rapture is 'an expression or manifestation of ecstasy or passion' and I couldn't agree more. There is no question of the passion that the Makers of Mentality have poured out their love and passion for polish (and holo) into their products. Again, this is three regular coats, with a top coat on my first finger.
I couldn't resist stamping from my new Ninja Polish plate a lovely steaming coffee cup, with Pure Ice Scandal, the colors just sang perfectly together!
Isn't this collection amazing?! I'm trying to be a good girl and focus on my birthday club and Christmas presents and not buy polish for myself, but man, Mentality's polish does NOT make it easy for a girl to stick to a plan!
Don't forget to check out Mentality Nail Polish on BigCartel and Mentality Nail Polish on Etsy, and stop buy their Facebook page for more photos and pictures.
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
