For today's challenge(s), beach towels and something I love, I choose to do a blue gradient and stamping.
I started with one base coat of Wet N Wild Megalast in I Need A Refresh-Mint
Then I sponged Sinful Colours in Savage for the mid colour, and Pure Ice in French Kiss on the tips.
I've tried to apply all 3 colours at once with a sponge a couple of time and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as it doesn't seem to come out right, mostly way to light, or I don't get all 3 colours on my nail. I'm surfing the Purple Crumpet Fairy Challenge and Adventures in Stamping on Facebook and have found some really great links on stamping and gradient (thanks to all the amazing folks that posted the links!!!) and hopefully I'll be able to find some tips that help me improve. Anywho, moving on.
I stamped the retro dots with Essence plate, I couldn't find a number for it. It's stamped in a white I got from Flirt Nail Art Stamping Kit, and works well. As much as I love this plate and the patterns, it doesn't seem to be as deeply cut as some of the other plates I own and I seem to have more trouble getting the image to transfer from plate to stamp cleanly. I'm still learning with stamping though so perhaps I'm just impatient. :-)
I finished it with a coat of Seche Vite.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Happy Stamping!
